The BRP dealership in Fort McMurry was looking to renovate their showroom floor by replacing their failed epoxy job with a new commercial grade floor that would brighten up the showroom for customers.

EFC took the delight in delivering a 4-stage coating consisting of a base coat of epoxy moisture vapour barrier, a second coat of epoxy, a vinyl flake broadcast, and a topcoat of polyaspartic.

The Challenges

Being that the floor had a paint and epoxy mixed coating, removal was not easy as we carefully removed the previous coating while keeping dust exposure to a minimum. EFC also provided poly barriers to prevent dust from reaching hard to reach places, and showroom floor items on the shelves.

In doing so, we made the prep work easy by allowing us to focus on removal to get the substrate ready to be coated. Due to the nature of the floor ages and deterioration, we also added a moisture barrier epoxy coat which is a much thicker coat to aid in moisture problems, and aid in providing a level floor.
